Pros

Decent pay (structure may have changed) Decent pension

Cons

Jobs rarely given on merit. Depending on your race, gender, sexuality or relation to management is generally how likely you are to progress. The company likes to tick every diversity box that it can. Management are extremely unprofessional, moving the goalposts when it suits, an example of this would be the constant preaching of ensuring health and safety and the processes are followed to the letter. Their subordinates will then often encourage operators to work out of process to ensure their targets are hit. It was recently suggested that operators put up their hand to use the WC. HR Dept rarely get back to you and seem incapable of doing their job. The head of this Dept is constantly with senior management within the company. On several occasions has advised employees to agree and go with the management, when it comes to change in pay, shifts etc. When her role is generally supposed to be impartial.
