Pros
Arval UK has a very people-centric culture which is no doubt one of the reasons why we have a lot of long-servers alongside newer employees. The work-life balance is much better here compared to other companies I've worked for (including a competitor), even with a busy workload. There's also a strong sense of community and people generally want to help each other out. There are definite benefits to being part of a large banking group - it brings stability and the benefits package is very good so you feel looked after. There's also a fair amount of change which helps to keep the work fresh and creates opportunities to improve ways of working.
Cons
The scale and structure of the wider bank can sometimes slow decisions or add a few extra steps to processes but on the flipside, you know that when change does happen it's usually done properly.
