I have worked for the council for 2 years and currently going through my 2nd restructure. If you want job security it does not feel like you have it here. Senior management don’t understand how to deliver and don’t listen to those that do. No training or development offered. Our team doesn’t even have a training budget Restructure for pure cost savings with no logical efficiency’s or different team structure to help deliver just a staff cut. Constant temp service directors come in an “fix” a department for them to then leave. Process for the big things but everything else is guess and fumble your way through. No quality management system is sight. Too many life time workers who have no experience of how any other industry works and aren’t open to new ways of working.
