Pros
Nice colleagues and good support from immediate co-workers
Cons
Leadership don't care at all about their staff and don't understand what people actually do, they're continually changing tack, chasing the next opportunity so nothing gets properly completed or allowed to bed in. Back end systems are incredibly outdated and don't function properly leading to poor service to students, who are largely seen as cash cows by senior management, although the academics delivering the courses do care passionately about the people they are teaching. I was made redundant and felt I behaved pretty decently despite the circumstances - didn't bring the mood down with colleagues who were staying, made sure I gave thorough handover notes for the people taking on my products - but my line manager didn't even bother to speak to me before I left.
