Pros

Immediate manager, colleagues, in region development teams and senior manager are *extremely* good people, dealing with hard targets. You will form fantastic relationships in the trenches. Autonomy to do what you want to do and build features that feel important to you or customers... Assuming you have the resources to do it (You won't) Ability to work from home, unlimited leave (with manager discretion, so YMMV), work life balance is decent, but only if you control it. Decent, but below average, salary

Cons

Zero bonus strategy unless you're in sales or management, meaning that even senior individual contributors sees basically zero benefit to their hard work and extra hours, whilst sales swan off with massive five and six bonuses. Pathetic yearly salary rises that don't even touch inflation, promotion pay rises are similarly low Crushing yearly layoffs that are DESTROYING development teams, staff loyalty and staff morale. Planned and unplanned deliverables are getting harder and harder to achieve. Many development teams now lack any form of QA and its falling on developers and product to pick up the slack, strong hint, AI cannot replace years of knowledge, smarts and creativity, as much as the c-suite wishes it were the case. A completely disconnected, millionaire C-suite that parade sales figures and corporate bs on All Hands meetings and then lay down ridiculous mandates from seemingly nowhere, without thought or consultation Company culture has effectively fallen by the wayside, very few events ever happen, and when they do they're extremely cost controlled unless customers are invited.

Pros

Dayforce has a lot of great perks. They are a cutting-edge HCM company and are always innovating. They are 100% remote and are great with work-life balance. Pay and benefits are good, and I would put them slightly above average in both.

Cons

Work can be too siloed at times, and top-down plans are not always communicated as efficiently as they could be.

Pros

I was able to retire. After Dayforce, I was DONE.

Cons

I wouldn't be so quick to leave Paylocity, one disaster, for Dayforce. IF you have been there for 5+ years, you have a good territory. If you're new to the organization, expect uneven playing field and a "junior" quota. I was in HR sales for 30+ years, most of them in true Enterprise when I was hired as a mid-market rep with an unreasonably small patch. They won't tell you this in an interview so ask and then make the hiring manager provide documentation in the form of a territory listing as sadly, they're not honest and you're going to have to verify EVERYTHING you are told. Oh, and the new VP of sales is liked about as much as the last one, which is to say, not loved at all. B
