Pros

- Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO), offering flexibility for work-life balance. - Flexible working hours that allow employees to manage their schedules effectively. - Immediate management is supportive, approachable, and willing to listen to employee concerns, although engagement from upper management can feel less connected.

Cons

- Frequent yearly redundancies have created uncertainty and negatively impacted morale across teams. - The entire QA/Testing was made redundant under the justification of AI adoption, significantly reducing dedicated testing resources. - Another cost cutting measure, was shutting down the Glasgow head office. - Developers are increasingly expected to take on QA and testing responsibilities in addition to their core workload. - Private medical insurance benefits have been reduced to a £1,000 annual outpatient allowance with a £200 excess, leaving limited practical coverage despite being a taxable benefit. - Bonus structures have become unclear and inconsistent over time. Cash bonuses previously included through PAYE were removed in favor of a small salary increase, followed by a stock-based loyalty/performance scheme. Since the takeover by Thoma Bravo, there has been little communication or clarity regarding future loyalty or bonus programs. - Company-wide meetups and team activities have been scaled back. Previously, teams gathered annually, but these events have been removed as part of cost-cutting measures. - Limited investment is made in professional development and certifications. - Pay rises are no where near the cost of living and inflation in the UK.

Pros

Dayforce has a lot of great perks. They are a cutting-edge HCM company and are always innovating. They are 100% remote and are great with work-life balance. Pay and benefits are good, and I would put them slightly above average in both.

Cons

Work can be too siloed at times, and top-down plans are not always communicated as efficiently as they could be.

Pros

I was able to retire. After Dayforce, I was DONE.

Cons

I wouldn't be so quick to leave Paylocity, one disaster, for Dayforce. IF you have been there for 5+ years, you have a good territory. If you're new to the organization, expect uneven playing field and a "junior" quota. I was in HR sales for 30+ years, most of them in true Enterprise when I was hired as a mid-market rep with an unreasonably small patch. They won't tell you this in an interview so ask and then make the hiring manager provide documentation in the form of a territory listing as sadly, they're not honest and you're going to have to verify EVERYTHING you are told. Oh, and the new VP of sales is liked about as much as the last one, which is to say, not loved at all. B
