Pros

A great office Good bonus A lot of really talented people in many departments

Cons

The company is mostly run by people in their mid 40s and older which are so out of touch with what a modern game is and what the new development tools are that most of the best people are fleeing the company because they feel hopeless and don’t want their names associated with the mess that Elite Dangerous is. The salaries are among the lowest in the video game industry in the UK. There is no room to express creativity and try to make a genuinely great game , the profit of the company comes first and investors have to be pleased, so you’re just going to deal with lifeless big franchises that most of the employees do not want to work on. The CEO has no clue whatsoever what it takes to make a videogame these days, but no one is willing tell him that this is hurting the company.

Pros

Frontier has an amazing knack at finding absolutely wonderful people to populate their development teams. You'll genuinely enjoy the company of your day-to-day colleagues.

Cons

As much as Frontier hires exceptional staff, they seem hellbent on not letting them do what they do best or heading their advice. Project direction is often driven by whims of people disconnected from day-to-day development and priorities are often railroaded to appease executive stakeholders.
