Pros

Have only worked here for just over a month, but here are some pros I've found; - Fantastic team, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Company values are really reflected across the workforce (passionate, collaborative, respectful) - There's a large focus on staff wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion. There is also a drive to do lots of charity events, eg coffee mornings - Good communication and easy to get in touch with people if you need to find something out - Fab company benefits. Savings platform, competitive salary. As an apprentice, all mileage is covered on expenses which is a plus - Ability to go and visit a site, to meet people in sales and build, and explore the show homes (they're stunning) - Just a real sense of community and teamwork

Cons

There are serious concerns about the working culture and management practices at Gleeson Homes. Some employees feel that staff are treated unfairly and inconsistently, with decisions being made that appear arbitrary and not clearly linked to job roles or agreed working arrangements. Examples include requiring certain individuals to attend the office while others are permitted to work from home, without clear explanation or consistency. There are also concerns that expectations placed on staff can feel unreasonable at times, including requiring long-distance travel at short notice, which has a negative impact on wellbeing and work-life balance. More broadly, some employees describe management behaviour as dismissive or lacking respect in day-to-day interactions, which has contributed to low morale and a lack of trust in leadership. Overall, there is a perception that workplace decisions are not always applied fairly or transparently, and that staff concerns are not consistently addressed.
