Pros

Had some fab staff, pay is pretty decent. Can be flexible with work

Cons

Management don’t care. Supervisors don’t know what they’re doing (albeit one of them does) Change your shifts without telling you. Favour certain drivers

Pros

Stable employment with regular hours. Opportunities to gain experience in a transport engineering environment. Friendly and supportive frontline engineering staff who are mostly passionate about their work.

Cons

Archaic Systems and Processes: Many of the internal systems are outdated, with a heavy reliance on manual paperwork and inefficient legacy software. Attempts at modernisation feel piecemeal and lack strategic direction. Limited Career Progression: There is little room for upward mobility, especially for administrative roles. Career development opportunities are not clearly outlined or supported. Low Pay for the Role: The compensation does not reflect the workload or responsibilities. Comparable roles in other industries or companies tend to offer better packages and benefits. Lack of Investment in Staff Development: Minimal training is provided beyond the basics. There’s a general sense that support functions are undervalued. Top-Down Culture: Communication from upper management is often poor or non-existent. Decisions are made without consulting or informing the staff they impact. Stagnant Environment: Most staff have been in the same roles for 5+ years, not because they’re satisfied, but because there’s nowhere else to go. Career progression is virtually non-existent unless someone retires or leaves. Nepotism & Favouritism: It’s hard not to notice that many staff seem to be related to each other. Opportunities for advancement often feel predetermined, making it difficult for outsiders to progress based on merit.
