      Don’t bother - Nursery Room Leader Grandir UK Employee Review

      Pros

      - some great staff, have made some friends for life - you can eat lunch with children - closed over christmas (that’s about to change) - decent pay

      Cons

      Where to start. - Everyone is extremly over worked and streched as nursery is super understaffed - Staff who left is not being replaced but new children are still coming in - Children are no longer the priority, as there is no key workers system, if there is one, staff gets allocated ten children plus and cannot cope - There is many agency staff who doesn’t care and put more stress on current staff - Staff turnover is horrendous - When shifts are being done and you don’t agree to do any over time the manager can get very angry with you - The management is related to multiple other staff members, which creates unsafe work environment - The high management promise things which never happen, eg better pay or workingn hours - Extremely unfair pay, if you are friend of someone in higher position you will get a great deal

      Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We would like to reassure you that both children and staff remain our priority at all times. It’s very important that we employ the right people but as with all nurseries, we are currently experiencing some recruitment delays. To remain safe, legal, and compliant, we have taken a decision to prioritise entry to the nursery on the day. Each child at the nursery is allocated a key worker and to ensure they continue to receive support during times of staff illness, we have a buddy system in place too.

      Pros

      They are always supportive and encouraging of development and they ensure you can progress and see potential in you. They ensure you are supported and encouraged. The children are always first and they recognise you as an individual.

      Cons

      I think things are going well.

      Pros

      My work life balance has improved dramatically and I no longer go home stressed! The support from both my Manager and Regional Manager has allowed me to grow and develop in my role as a Deputy. I feel listened to and valued in what I contribute.

      Cons

      So far, I love to work here.
