Pros

- Looks good on CV - Some great team members - Modern building conveniently located in central Bristol

Cons

- A lot of unchecked toxicity and act of bullying - Working hours are longer than a typical full-time job, from 8:30am to 17:30pm. - A lot of bigotry. On my floor I'd never hear the end of complaints about white men and privilege, and when I stopped by the post room I would often hear hate speech towards trans people and other sexual minorities.

Pros

People have always been the best thing about HL people are really nice and eager to help at least within Operations. Pension contributions is decent as well.

Cons

A lot of cons however Helpdesk and Operations are micromanaged a lot more then the other department as they use a real time management system however any level above those teams its none existent and ControlIQ is used as a way me to put stupid mandatory targets such as productivity. Even though they care for quality they want the tasks done in faster times and expect you to be a robot. Upper management make decision that make no sense and don't consult the actual teams involved in the changes and my team even worse giving us no time to train the spltting team and then complain about SLA times. They are planning on changing Office days 2 to 3 which didn't need to be changed and a majority of the company disagrees with as it's been this way for 6 years. Promotions and moving is not existent roles are few far to come by and is used more external candidates from LinkedIn. The only way to move up and out is sucking up management or having a connection. Please do not work here unless your desperate or need a job for money it's not worth the headache.
