Pros
-Some employees are fantastic and very smart. The kind of people that are a pure pleasure to work with and a it's a privilege to learn from them. -The cars are very exciting and the MTC Boulevard is one of the coolest places witin the automotive world
Cons
The excitement of working around some nice cars only covers the issues for so long and the rest couldn't be further from the glamorous image they try to project. -Unrealistic business targets with inadequate resource. -Strict, highly complex processes for absolutely everything they do and the unrealistic timelines and expectations dont mix well here. Projects are late from the early phases, made to not look late for the executives for as long as possible. Eventually, to recover timing the the complex processes are thrown out of the window and all teams rush around like mad cutting corners to deliver on time. After seeing it happen for a while and hearing lots of plans and presentations on how this will be adressed it only ever got worse over time. -On the personal level this permanent state of mess and stress breeds a toxic atmosphere. The responsibilities become unclear when the official processes are abandoned, the teams are struggling to cope, blaming each other. Individuals are asked to step in and go above and beyond to "save the day" often without as much as a pat on the back. Obviously in the end the car quality suffers. -In all the mess more bad business decisions are being made to cause further problems down the road. Good employees being treated poorly and scapegoated. The line workers suffer the brunt of the mess. -Often ruthless but incompetent individuals use the mess to rise through the ranks, -Poor pay considering the skill and effort required and especially the location. -HR and top brass will work against you to protect the incompetent managers with proven track record of abuses and/or failures if it comes to that. -preferential treatment and favouritism based promotions are a thing here. -Seeing all the failures caused by stupidity going unpunished, the unnecessary politics, the unfulfiled promises, the inconpetent people getting promoted over geniuses in their field is dishartening.
