Pros

Remote / hybrid working and really good BUPA cover.

Cons

Where do I start… promotions, if you ever get them, are in title only. All the forums we used to have to engage with management are gone, except in pockets. It’s all about the bottom line, but experience and talent aren’t appreciated or utilised to grow the business. People are overworked and burned out. Clients are sold ‘experts’, when a lot of the time they’re getting inexperienced resources who don’t understand the client, industry or business - but they’re cheaper, so that’s ok! No pay rises, no bonuses, no flexible working (whenever they can block it). So many empty promises… Most of the organisation’s knowledge walked out over the past year, and they were right to do so!

Thank you for your review. We understand periods of high workload can be challenging and we are actively working with managers to monitor capacity and support colleagues where pressures arise. One of the ways that we seek to balance the workload for our colleagues is by measuring our utilisation rate and look at industry standards to help us assess efficiency and effectively plan our internal talent acquisition and workload allocations. We acknowledge that changes to the old drumbeat of communication and feedback can be frustrating. Transparency in communications and facilitating open avenues for feedback are fundamental to our 2026 strategy. We’ll continue sharing progress through regular Town Halls and internal updates, ensuring colleagues know how and where their feedback is shaping decisions. We’re committed to being clearer about decisions, priorities and areas where there is still work to do.

Pros

I left Methods for what I thought would be 'greener pastures' and returned very quickly. They always said the door was open and that was true and for that I am very thankful. In terms of progression I have had an excellent experience joining as a graduate and working my way up it has made me feel valued. The people I work with on a day to day basis are truly wonderful and some of the best I could ask for. The clients are always interesting and projects that actually make a difference to people

Cons

Although I consider it 'on the up' their are still some concerns: - staff turnover hasn't been great in what was a turbulent time and lost some great people (hopefully they come back as I did) but I like to view this as a chance to grow again building great teams and learning from past mistakes. - there is still a 'londoncentric' focus to things with any fun event being at the main office.

Pros

The team you work with - generally when its backs against the wall, they pull through - working together to get stuff done for clients. Great clients - some long standing clients that make it worthwhile. remote working - never had a problem with remote working whilst with Methods

Cons

Management - since it was taken over, it's gone severely downhill. A whole raft of new management levels brought in, to produce next to nothing apart from eating into profits resulting in next to no bonus for anyone. 4 years, no promotions - just the usual 'we'll see what happens in 6 months' carrots being dangled I left, they needed to bring in 3 people to do my job - says it all really You'll get on if you manage to get in a clique with the right people

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for recognising the positive aspects of your experience, particularly the commitment of your colleagues, our client relationships, and the flexibility of remote working. We are pleased that these elements made a positive impact during your time with us. We are sorry to hear that your overall experience did not meet your expectations. We recognise that periods of organisational change can create challenges and may affect how decisions are experienced by employees. As our business has evolved, we have introduced new structures and leadership roles to support growth, governance, and long-term sustainability, although we appreciate that not everyone will view these changes positively. Your comments regarding reporting requirements and ensuring decision-making remains closely aligned with client and project needs are valuable, and feedback such as yours helps inform ongoing improvements. We appreciate the contributions you made during your time with Methods and wish you every success in your future career.
