Pros

- Work hours were good and rarely did overtime - The London office is modern and offers great staff facilities - Interesting projects to work on - WFH policy was a good balance between teams but was also slowly being pushed to work in the office more. - Good name for your resume

Cons

- Interview was not open about the probability of working for AXIS architects. A firm that shares staff within Sheppard Robson. - No pay rise or bonuses for junior staff members - A lack of support when it came to Part 3 studies other than the financial covering e.g helping with a Part 3 mentor capable of signing of PEDRs. -Lack of transparency with finding project background and information. This again seem to go down better if you suck up to staff and make yourself a loudmouth. - Can get pigeon holed into specific typologies or project teams and it’s hard to move around departments even when requested multiple times - The upper partners are out of touch with the junior members of staff and often sent mass emails complaining and very seldom boosted moral across the company, specifically one partner in particular. - Christmas parties were segregated and often unbalanced between departments in terms of budget. - Lack of team bonding outside of working, but this differs between teams and departments. - Difficult to stand out unless you purposely suck up to the partners and upper management. - HR doesn’t do enough to help you out, they are more there to protect the companies interest and can’t be trusted. Often overheard complaining and turning up late. - Lack of diversity amongst architects and assistants and only seemed to be hired to work under head of HR who was white. - Lied to or ignored when promised future working opportunities.

Pros

Great studio culture! A lot going on and an exciting place to work.

Cons

Unfortunately salaries are quite low for a firm of this scale. Projects can be quite boring.
