We entirely agree that employing people who genuinely care for our residents is of utmost importance. Our purpose as a Council is to care and provide for the people of our Borough and one of our values is to treat our residents like valued members of our own families. We are now working on promoting our core values through our recruitment campaigns and online media.
We're sorry that you felt you experienced poor management during your time with us. We now have a multitude of online management training with our corporate training offer each year that offer a range of dedicated management modules with ongoing professional development for all employees, including managers.

We're delighted to hear that you really felt there was commitment to the local residents from our staff, this is all part of our Southwark Values and commitments to our Residents so it's great to see this shone through.
We understand your view on restructures and that it can be unsettling and feel unnecessary but this situation would only occur after having undergone a vigorous process before being agreed upon as a course of action. We also offer full support to any redeployed staff as a result of a re-structure, as we help them to find an alternative role within Southwark.

Strong and knowledgeable leadership not present in certain areas, therefore lack of direction and support. Reluctance or slowness to address failings in workforce, as a consequence improvements in areas clearly identified do not take place.
