Good leave entitlements with 6 weeks annual leave an additional week if you work in the north. Paid military leave. Good sick leave policy and medical coverage. Good rates of pay.
Cons
Middle management and some executive appear to have lost the plot. No longer guided by moral principles they make random decision and often take an us and them attitude to those staff below them. The struggle is never with the angry man, it’s with a boss that’s lost sight of what actually matters.
Tenure policy also severely limits ability to specialise.
Great colleagues and supportive team. Pretty good pay for the work being done, not too stressful or taxing. Flexible around caring responsibilities.
Cons
No offer of permanency or room to move. Other roles are only offered to permanent staff. The work can be monotonous, not very stimulating if you want to use your brain.
