Pros

- good deal flow - good exposure at a junior level - used to have a great culture - HR team recognize benefits that would be useful and implement them

Cons

- Senior management have ruined what was once a nice and unique banking culture. People are leaving in large numbers due to bullying and mistreatment. Senior management aware of the issue but only care about the hours you put in - Interns, Analysts and Associates are expected to work crazy hours with little understanding from MDs. Including full weekends regularly and on average a 2/3am finish every day - Management play favourites resulting in very qualified analysts/associates either being let go or failing to make promotion in place of less deserving candidates - Senior Management often very detached from the actual day to day and then impose unrealistic deadlines and create a lot of inefficients - Very face time focused - Horrendous bonuses

Pros

Great deal flow. Get to work on some interesting deals and you will learn a lot as a new analyst or graduate. Firm has some amazing senior bankers who are really good at what they do. There's room to develop if you really want to do it. But i can't speak for experienced roles / hires.

Cons

Office politics don't matter as much as an analyst but it's certainly there and you'll notice that. Work could be a lot sometimes (benched marked against investment banking standard) and middle mgmt. is pretty weak. And there's no incentives to fix that because it won't affect topline.
