Pros

Some genuinely nice staff at ground level who move heaven and earth to get the job done

Cons

Central have no idea what your stock levels are like Central allow people to make bookings even though you have no cars to rent You rely on other branches to give you their cars to meet demand IT systems are based off green screens (literally this technology died about 30 years ago). Trying to get a straight answer from the systems requires checking 3 different screens line by line You are required to print off documents, write on them, scan them to yourself and then upload that scan to a electronic system, seriously just let staff edit a document digitally and do a digital signature! Central allow customer to extend rentals without telling you even though you are counting on a car to come back for another customer to use. With branch closures the catchment areas for deliveries and collections can be up to 90 minutes away which when you only have a budget for 4 staff can mean you lose two drivers for 3 hours just for one car! Pay is not worth the stress
