Pros

The people that worked there made the place bearable.

Cons

Most of the _good_ people that worked there no longer work there. My POV comes from the Engineering/R&D department, so I can't speak to other roles, but I could not be more earnest when I say DO NOT WORK HERE. You will lose however much time of your life here. This is not a tech-startup, this is a SPAC that's just trying to IPO to make their investors rich. Aside from a lack of product vision, you'll have to deal with the incompetence of middle management (the Peter Principle is rampant here) and the toxic culture begot by an inexperienced, out of touch, and negligent senior leadership team. There is a known track record of continuously losing the best and brightest employees due to the internal volatility, culture, lack of support, direction, management incompetence... DEATH MARCH is a known term in the engineering department. At this point, a skeleton crew of FTE engineers are left managing teams of outside contractors and someone else is leaving every month. Do not accept a job here expecting growth, guidance, career nurturing. The environment is far from that, and as start-ups go this one is entirely not worth the one or two years you'll invest before you realize spending another three years just to let your measly options vest would be the worst decision in your life, second to accepting a job at this company in the first place.
