Pros

Incredible People: The best part of Freetrade is the team. It’s a genuinely supportive environment where colleagues actively root for each other’s success. Career Progression: Excellent support for professional development. If you want to move forward in your career, this is a great place to do it. Casual Atmosphere: The dress code is relaxed and casual, which makes for a comfortable day-to-day working environment. Meaningful Work: The core product and mission are solid, and the work feels impactful.

Cons

Stifled Social Culture: The zero-tolerance policy on alcohol makes company-led socials feel forced and rare. Most people end up self-funding their own gatherings at the pub afterward just to actually unwind. Repetitive Tasks: While the work is good, it can become quite monotonous and "samey" after a while. Cultural Alignment: There is a bit of a disconnect between the company’s strict cultural rules and what the employees actually want/enjoy.

Pros

Great place to work with exciting, cutting-edge technology that is continuously evolving. There is a huge amount to learn across financial regulations, the investing world, its instruments, and how they are managed and settled. - Leaders at Freetrade demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and sharp business acumen. - A supportive and impartial HR department that is transparent and continuously improving. - Hyper growth in both market share and product features. - Truly a one-stop shop for general investment and tax-efficient schemes, including ISAs, Junior ISAs (JISAs), and self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs). Which makes you feel proud on building such a product that millions of lives depends on. - High performers are recognised and appreciated regularly. - The company prioritises hiring not only talented and skilled individuals but also people with strong values and soft skills, resulting in a culture built on respect, care, and ownership. - Great office spaces in London and Budapest and very central location. - If you are in security, the thrill you get from working on protecting billions of assets and millions of users personal data is unmatched. - Very good work-life balance

Cons

- Fast-paced environment where change is the only constant, which can feel overwhelming for those not used to it. Despite being an established and mature company, it has a strong startup feel. - High autonomy comes with high accountability. People have full ownership of their domain and the freedom to make decisions, but are expected to own the outcomes. Personally, I think that is a fair trade-off, but if you prefer structured processes and clear instructions, this may not be the right fit. - Being a heavily regulated company means some changes must go through multiple review stages to ensure compliance, which can slow certain processes down.
