Although there are opportunities to get involved outside of your role, often it's the day job that is the shortcoming of this scheme. Some graduates have been underwhelmed with the roles they were assigned, and although there is the flexibility to rotate (although this is very much down to the individual to initiate), often this doesn't make up for the lack of fulfilling work. I also get the feeling this company doesn't operate as a meritocracy, but instead favours the employees who can shout the loudest.
