Pros
Came from a background in retail, so the change of industry was an initial shock to the system but an excellent management and admin team helped me adjust and are dedicated to assisting growth and development. They offer aupport when needed and feedback on performance to aid growth and betterment.
Trust is given to me to lead my team how I feel I should, and creative control to improve processes is granted.
Genting Edgbaston is blessed with a friendly and kind General Manager who operates with an open door policy and who consistently manages to get the most out of her team and shows appreciation for hard work and loyalty. She is fantastic to work for and I have learnt a lot from her in my 15 months with the club, and continue to learn from her on a daily basis. It is a pleasure to work for her.
Decent work/life balance considering the shift patterns can be antisocial and a varied shift pattern is available to me.
A huge variety of staff events to influence positive morale and team building.
A wide variety of colleagues who care about team work and the success of the hospitality department.
Training and development is first rate, with additional training opportunities available if requested.
The atmosphere in the club is always amazing, and it is always a pleasure to come to work.
