Pros

Great building with open plan layout. Salary good, pension and annual bonus.

Cons

Managers, rule by stick not carrot. Micro managed staff, unsupportive and undermined. Very negative and low moral issues are the norm. The website states that they value staff, I'd ask for evidence. Training is only offered to Sales executives and those Managers that have little or no man mangement skills

Where do I start? The office staff are not appreciated enough, they must think that all we do is pick up the phone and take simple orders. We do a lot of work for most orders and get nothing back. We’ve built relationships with customers over many years which has them giving us their custom everyday and that’s not based on who their rep it’s based on the staff in the office who help them out - a lot of them complain they haven’t see their reps in months / years (yes I said years) but still Reps are getting bonuses/commission on big orders they don’t even know about when we are doing the ground work EVERYDAY. You don't get made aware of things you should know about. Important things!! Numerous occasions I've heard first hand from customers as they've heard from reps. You are kept in the dark a lot! They basically will just throw you at the deep end too and you are made to get on with it. Big changes happened last year and no one had a clue what to do. It was mentally exhausting.

Pros

I have been at Headlam for 6 months now and the working environment is exceptionally good. One of the best places I've worked at. My coworkers are fun to work with and the managers are very understanding. I have met some of the best people whilst working here.

Cons

Can't really complain — happy with everything.
