      Great people but a company unsure of what it is trying to achieve

      Pros

      Working with great people who are dedicated to their work Market leading products with good reputations Many people have been there a long time and having in depth experience they're willing to share

      Cons

      In recent years the company has seriously lost its way. Driving down costs has become the key focus and the business has lost resources and skills as a result. Overstretched and exhausted staff are now leaving in large numbers, taking their expertise with them, and are being replaced with people who lack the skills to do the roles they are being hired for. The business is suffering as a result. A small sized company, so opportunities for growth and career progression are limited

      The ups and downs of Heming Group!

      Pros

      Relaxed down-to-earth atmosphere, friendly people to work with.

      Cons

      Depending on what position you are in at the company progression isn't always possible. Despite the strides the company has made in enhancing it's reputation in the markets it specialises in, these strides are not reflected in way of any benefits to the people that work there.

      Tight knit team Relaxed atmosphere in the office Central location Sense of history

      Cons

      As it's a family company, it's run for the convenience of a few people Not very innovative and resistant to technological change Totally opaque in the way it's run Senior management seem unconcerned that the business is in decline
