Pros

Limited - work colleagues were the only pro for this company.

Cons

Incredibly disorganized company - with no strategic direction. Communication was farcical, with changes being communicated to the group before an employee. There was no thought for people in any situation - only figures.

Reputation Corroding Experience

Pros

A market leader that pays a reasonable salary, however they definitely want their ‘pound of flesh’ in return. Your expected to work above and beyond while under intense pressure.

Cons

* Hotelbeds don’t consider their hotel suppliers as partners, and indeed, customers that are buying a distribution service. But as assets to be exploited to the maximum. * Distribution of FIT rates via B2C appears to be their default position even when it is forbidden by contracts terms. *Hotelbeds internal processes and operations are by design purposed to over sell allocation, ignore close outs and under pay hotel invoices. * Working for this company has badly damaged my reputation as their ‘cowboy’ distribution and dirty tactics with hotels naturally reflected upon me, the a/c manager. * Sadly, a rather miserable place to work with huge levels of employees unhappy, stressed, depressed and anxious, wishing they worked somewhere else.

Pros

• Lots of roles allow for travel. • People generally don't know what they are doing so it's easy to do better. • If it suits you to be lazy - this is the place for you.

Cons

• You'll never be given a decent hotel to stay in - ironically. • As soon as you attempt to do anything good, management will ask you to make it mediocre so you don't show up your colleagues. • There's no sense of humanity. People are poorly treated. You'll be asked to move country and then fired for some dubious reason soon after. • The company is run on ego. Don't share ideas or opinions that might be better. You'll only become a target. • Too many people have jobs because of who they know. Generally they're incompetent, outspoken and rude (paranoid). • Basic facilities are missing in the Palma office especially. Generally facilities are awful across offices. • It's not uncommon for people to leave because they've waited so long for a laptop to work on or anyone to recognise they're there.
