Pros

Brilliant platform for recruiters who know how to operate away from the transactional. The platform is built for billers. You are looked after with leading comms schemes, benefits and if you make partner, you are comfortably in the best seat in the house. More flexibility, competitive pay in terms of base and comms, your voice is also a amplified and heard. You've probably inherited or carved a fantastic desk and it'll be challenging to leave as looking at your competitors you'll see that it really is industry leading. They've always offered brilliant offices and been thoughtful around benefits. Access to broader talent solutions is superb for those that are commercial. I was lucky to be in the team I was.

Cons

Not great if you’re in leadership. The company is under heavy pressure to deliver growth ahead of a potential IPO, while continuing to deal with significant attrition over the past couple of years. A lot of strong people and positive energy have left, and many of the underlying issues haven’t really been addressed. Maybe start to question those that are left ? The culture is political, with progression and influence often feeling more tied to alignment with leadership narratives than actual capability or performance. Meritocracy feels inconsistent at best. Promotions now come across as more about optics and retention than clear performance differentiation, which undermines trust in the system. Return to an objective review and put some standards back in. Rumours of multiple resignations and huge counteroffers to retain the biggest billing partners. The market feedsback and it's not helping! Overall, it feels like decision making is increasingly driven by internal politics and short term positioning rather than a stable, performance led culture. Get some unity back in your leadership team, ask for genuine opinions and implement some actual actions.

Pros

- Mature work environment. People are treated like adults here and not micro-managed. It’s a hybrid-working model and we have core hours or 10am-4pm when we must be in the office, but other than that, you can manage your day as you need, to allow for extra-curricular activities, such as gym sessions, doctor appointments, school run and anything else that might be required - Culture. It’s extremely difficult to find disagreeable people in this company. Collaboration and camaraderie are strong here, but without the horn-blowing environments of some companies. People tend not to have egos here, even the very top billers, and the senior management proactively consistently engage with the more junior folk - Caliber of consultants. The average biller here bills significantly more than any other company for which I’ve worked - Friday afternoons off. Another demonstration of the trusting environment. If you wish, you can log off for the afternoon on Friday, to allow for people to truly get into the flow of the weekend. Long weekends require only taking a half day of annual leave to achieve 3 full days for the weekend - Support outside of core work topics. We have a plethora of extremely useful benefits, such as financial coaching, private medical insurance, mental health support, Lunch & Learns and other benefits too - In-office support. You are given a buddy when you join to help you bed in well and there is an in-office People & Culture professional you can speak with, if you are ever struggling with anything at any point - Extra-curricular opportunities. Many different events are run to support with fun and general wellbeing, such as padel, Pilates, yoga, cycling trip, 3-peaks challenge, charity days, mindfulness and we even had laughter therapy here recently! - Great office currently and moving to an upgraded one in a few months too, in London Bridge - Social events. Many different events are run each year, such as the summer and Christmas parties, quarterly company parties, lunch clubs, high achiever work trips and then team-specific events and nights out. We also have a drinks trolley that goes around the desks every Thursday - Platinum scheme. I currently have the opportunity to earn up to 42.5% of my billings, which I feel is ahead of the curve in the recruitment industry, and this rises further as you become more senior I did hear that Investigo was actually voted the best company to work for across the whole of Glassdoor a number of years ago (across all industries, so not even just in the recruitment field) and it’s understandable why.

Cons

The threshold is quite high, so if you don't hit that then of course you won't earn any comms. But the platinum scheme means you earn well, so you've just got to get over that certain level.
