Very hard to progress past top level IC layer, promotion is really dependant on if your face is liked rather than skill level. Pointless reorgs every 1 to 2 years. Constantly changing prioritys with poor planning , can sometimes go weeks with no work, forward thinking and discovery is an afterthought. Strange 3 day in office req that no one follows , one day there is pressure to follow it the other day it's swept under the carpet.
