Pros

- Starting salary - Training is well regarded within the industry - Develops good work ethic due to their unrealistic expectations of work

Cons

Where do I start?! - Awful bonus scheme and complicated to calculate. - Attempted "brainwashing" by management - Micromanagement + 100s of KPIs. No matter how well someone is doing they always find something to be negative about. - Extremely long hours with commuting time (up to 3 hours) expected to be done in own time before 8.30-5.30 day visiting customers - Monday and Friday is similar to being in a call center - Promises of progression and promotions that are meaningless to try and keep staff engaged - Low pay rises so salary soon falls below market rate - Rarely praise but management jump at the chance to shame publicly - Unrealistic targets and expectations - No work/life balance - Office culture is poor. Most people feel the same as this review and it is discussed regularly leaving a negative atmosphere - Staff turnover is high. Small % of staff have been here longer than 2 years as people leave due to growing fed-up with Keyence - Keyence know their reputation and culture is so bad that they have asked senior employees to write positive reviews and then chased the individuals that hadn't done so

Terrible Company

Pros

The money, if you want more than £30k early in your career you will get it here if you can last more than 2 years.

Cons

Everything except the money. I would not work for this company again in my career for no amount of money. I "got out" just in time. They work you on a Monday on the phones like a sweat shop (Credit car centre) 8:30am to 5:00pm (Clocking in card and you have to justify your toilet and coffee breaks). Then they work you on the road doing ridiculous hours (You have to "arrive" at your customers before 8:30am even if they are 200 miles away and leave your last customer after 5pm) with unrealistic targets. Then your back in the office (Again, even if it is 200 miles from your house) on a Friday again 8:30am to 5:00pm. If you do hit target, they will find some fault to belittle you - for example "You have not sent enough brochures out this month" or "Even though you doubled your turnover, your call rate is less than last month - sort it out". Never happy and always demanding. I have been in the industry with 3 similar companies now for over 15 years so I am not just "bitter" I talk from experience.

Pros

1) Develop a good work ethic which will be recognised when you leave, as being worked into the ground becomes the norm at Keyence. 2) Good learning on how not to conduct business.

Cons

1) Low salary compared to market average. 2) Brainwashing by management. 3) Meaningless promotions to keep employees excited. 4) Long hours. 5) Keyence customers are are not happy customers due to being constantly hounded for orders by stressed employees trying to reach target. 6) Shockingly the management are asking their 'senior' employees to write 'good' reviews on Glassdoor.
