Pros

Assist LEP customers obtain interpretation/translation when a company (e.g., banks, insurance companies, etc.) do Not have bilingual personnel.

Cons

They sold contract to Kelly Translations that Only pays $15.00 an hour (even employees with a Master's degree), in this economy. You have a 15 minute paid break and half hour non-paid break. They Do Not provide a 40 hour work week that is only needed due to the poor pay. They use one software for payroll and another to log in to the system to take calls from clients. Although you sign in for your shift, in both software systems, if the interpreter software does Not reflect the shift hours you are scheduled for, you get 'docked' from your pay.

Pros

Stay home. That's all. Nothing else.

Cons

Fifteen seconds to recover between stressful calls. The health insurance they offer is super expensive for the poorly paid for hours you get. It does not match. Micromanage everything, constant supervised and not a proper guidance after being pointed the errors of the week. Extreme poorly paid for the higher quality of job that they want. The company charges 3 or 4 dollars for minute, but an interpreter gets paid 15 an hour before taxes. See the difference? Days off unpaid always. Not fair. Not even during sickness, grief or personal emergencies.

Pros

The company is remote-first, so you can live and work anywhere in the United States.

Cons

The pay is terrible, and they haven't given any raises in over 2 years. The last raise that they did give was only a couple cents an hour. The benefits are also terrible, you don't accrue a full day of PTO in an entire month of work. Upper management views employees as replaceable and feedback is not welcome. You could risk retaliation if you disagree with management. When someone quits, they just expect everyone to take on more work, or they find off-shore talent that ends up being difficult for employees to train due to language/cultural barriers on top of normal competency/attitude barriers.

Pros

We are given the tools to do the work and management is good. Very talented, small team of engineers. You are left alone for the most part.

Cons

Some managers are very abrasive and hard to deal with. Pay is dismal (better negotiate a good salary up front) and we haven't had raises in a long time. They don't even keep up with inflation, yet health insurance prices go up yearly. Bonus has no logic to it. It's decided by made up projected numbers that are completely unrealistic some years. There is very little guidance on where we are going except for one meeting a year.
