Pros

Paid lunch as a pharmacist, however, be careful as they expect you to not have lunch on busy days. That’s it really.

Cons

Poor pensions - minimum, terrible benefits, unsafe working conditions. The most disorganised company I have ever worked for. From not approving holidays within reasonable time to overpaying bonuses and asking staff to refund them months later. You can’t make it up. Upper management treat the store staff with so much contempt, it’s unreal. Lack of support. Negative environment with unhealthy competition between stores leading to poaching of the best support staff. You’d think they would try poaching from other companies but no, they’d rather score own goals. Honestly, go elsewhere. As a pharmacist, you’re just a retail staff to them. They prey on newly qualified who are not privy to their reputation in the industry. So if you’re a pre reg/NQ, speak to older colleagues before accepting an offer with this terrible company.

Pros

Some staff are friendly and hardworking, depending where you work of course...

Cons

AAH always has many supply issues Compass crashes all the time Some staff are incompetent or inadequately trained. Pharmacy manager is lazy and thick as two short planks (I've worked with some who can prove we should change Darwin theory to "survival of the thickest", yet they are entrusted with patient care). Area managers are often not pharmacists so haven't a clue what they are doing. People in head office im pretty sure have never worked in pharmacy so don't have a clue what to do. This is just a start.... The pay is rubbish and there's little or no opportunity for growth. There's a reason why most people go to boots! I get discount and yet still go to boots myself! I have a boots card! The company is rubbish! I know these EPS stores are opening but they are still rubbish... I can see this company going further downhill. I for one will be glad to leave and happy to never look back!
