      Poor pay, minimum wage. Have to use own car and pay for own insurance and depreciation. Poor petrol allowance. Use own mobile and own landline. No Training or help from management

      Toxic workplace culture

      Pros

      Exposure to the utilities industry and working at a national company. Some very nice people.

      Cons

      I was bullied by my manager, who took it personally when I handed my notice in and made it their aim to make my life there as difficult and unpleasant as possible. This included pulling me aside for private chats with them, where I would be interrogated on my new role (including my salary), berated for leaving and condescended with ridiculous offers that they “could’ve” made thrown in my face. It reached the point where I couldn’t even eat at work. The bullying and toxicity within the department is rife, and the way I was treated during my notice period was just the icing on the cake. Management took no responsibility for their behaviour and instead abused their positions to make others feel isolated and insecure in themselves.
