Pros

A safe, corporate environment with good people. Reasonable pay, reasonable benefits, reasonable workload.

Cons

Teams working at cross purposes to meet their own individual metrics even if it produces a negative outcome overall. Management had almost no understanding of daily challenges. Critical, avoidable issues were brushed aside until they blew up and became impossible to ignore.

Pros

Simon Walsh is a strong and intelligent leader who appears to lead from the front with a clear sense of direction. Katie Obi has also introduced a strong employee benefits programme, including the Skills Universe platform, which gives employees the opportunity to map their current skills against their career goals and development aspirations.

Cons

Pay at OneAdvanced feels below market rate and does not appear to be consistently benchmarked against comparable roles in the industry. Many employees seem to be carrying responsibilities beyond their job titles, often effectively doing the work of multiple roles, which contributes to workload pressure and burnout. There are also concerns around transparency and trust in relation to the EBT/share scheme. For example, there have been situations where employees believed they were included in the scheme, only to later be told they had not been enrolled and could not be added. The culture can feel highly pressured and, at times, toxic. Workload expectations are intense, and this appears to have contributed to stress-related absence and long-term sickness among employees (16 employees currently out on LTS). Burnout can feel normalised rather than properly addressed. There are also concerns about product strategy and customer sentiment. Some customers appear dissatisfied, and internal NPS scores may not fully reflect the reality of customer experience. In addition, acquisitions do not always seem to be integrated or developed successfully, which can create further uncertainty for employees and customers alike.
