Amazing product, terrible toxic culture

The tech stack was incredibly modern and innovative. The product itself is technically impressive and was enjoyable to work on. My talented and supportive colleagues made the difference every single day.

Chronic micromanagement, poor work-life balance, and a complete failure to implement Agile properly. Chronic micromanagement, poor work-life balance, and a complete failure to implement Agile properly. Unrealistic expectations of overcapacity of work and constant scrutiny led to high stress and low morale, and I know I wasn't the only team member who felt like this on a regular basis. Unachievable overreaching sprint goals did nothing to foster employee confidence but instead compounded anxiety. Team was overworked regularly. Since moving on, I’ve found a company that is set up to practice Agile properly with qualified Agile coaches and scrum masters, supports employee development and treats its staff with respect. That contrast made it clear how damaging and toxic the culture at Planet truly was.
