Pros

Great working culture, one of many things being a mutual, not chasing profit to please shareholders. Colleagues, in my immediate team anyway, are very helpful and we have great working relationship. As many have stated, 14% contribution from RL to pensions is a definite plus - my last company was only a measly 4%. Flexi time and 50% WFH - agreed with your people leader really helps to balance that work-life time.

Cons

With those great perks comes consequences, as there's no enforcement in place, some colleagues take advantage of flexitime and WFH. Years of over reliance on contract work has created siloed systems creating so much bureaucracy as many do not understand how the existing systems work and when things break, they just put more measures in place rather than fixing the source of the problem. Under investment in technology in the past has seen competitors take market share. We maybe a mutual be we still need to make money from the markets. And of course salary review not keeping up with inflation.

Pros

Benefits are fantastic. Growth and Opportunities are always available if you are willing to ask around and collaborate cross functional.

Cons

Some of the work can be repetitive but it is a fast pace market so you can expect to be busy all the time, which is good.

Pros

Work flexibility, focus on great client outcomes. Focus on your wellbeing and the benefits provided are great.

Cons

Being a large organisation and a mutual, things in the past take time to change but this has hugely improved and we are much more modern organisation now.
