I've worked for Southern Housing housing for over five years following a career predominantly in social and supported housing. I continue to find the strong commitment to our culture and supporting our residents make SH a collaborative and rewarding organisation to be part of while providing many opportunities to contribute to our essential social purpose.

Cons

Its hard work sometimes but there's never a dull moment! : )

Pros

When it was Optivo I couldn't praise this place enough. It was diverse, a sense of community, progression and continual options to development. Once merged with southern that changed so I can't give it any pros.

Cons

I honestly don't know where to start. *Favouritism *No work life balance *Micro management in an extreme manner *Segregation *Bullying *People are leaving left right and centre no one is taking notice of why. *Purposely keeping down mural. *The worst places I have ever worked towards the end. *If you do not look a certain way they will bully you until you leave. It's hard to believe, but it's more shocking that it's true.

Constantly doing people change reviews Use this change as an opportunity to get rid off staff that are not performing rather than following the proper performance process Not a friendly environment, people don't even smile or say hello unless they know you (how do you network when people are so rude) Pay people in the same team doing the same work different amounts depending on how hard they negotiate during their interview. Just not as good as they think they are as a company, definitely not somewhere I can say I am proud work (don't even wear my badge until I am at the office)
