Promises the world... But the reality is anything but...

Pros

As much work as you want from a zero hour contract, guaranteed lowest hourly rates compared to other companies. You can do as many favours to cover extra shifts, The company also helps you by giving you one uniform that should last you the rest of your working life. Tss is also and great career that can lead any officer into a whole world of different jobs in the retail sector, for example if you get taken on by tesco your promotion grants you a higher salary including a new uniform with extra benefits. There is also high sense of trust and care to the security guards as they don't weigh you down with cumbersome essential safety equipment because we as guards love the idea of getting attacked on duty it's why we get up in the morning.

Cons

When I first started we were told that we would do 6 months training (basically meaning poor pay and crap hours) after the training period we are expecting a fair hourly wage, now been told I have to wait for another month for the new tax year, requested new uniform for over 2 months to replace my old damaged uniform but I seem to have to fight for everything, doesn't matter how much effort and loyalty you give don't expect anything back, impress those managers in the stores you work in because for any progression and improvement to quality of life sometimes you have to jump ship

Very Very Poor, wouldn't bother if I was you...

None, from the minute they open their mouths they are lying to you, telling you what you want to hear - all talk no action...

Cons

Plenty, poor management, poor administration, couldn't give a damn about a guards welfare as they have their heads shoved too far up the customers rear end ( espicially Tesco ). Take every opportunity to do the guards out of money, far too many guards and not enough hours to go around, control is a joke as they don't know the meaning of the word, most area managers are way out of their depth, can certainly do better than this company, they have delusions of grandure but not the skills within management to back it up, totally untrustworthy lacking empathy, sympathy and understanding...

no social life, bullying management, discriminating culture, they put you under pressure all the time and you can't have a say as they try to intimidate you all the time, you are spied all the time like an inmate in a prison, they expect you to work more hours than those discussed in the contract and don't pay overtime, no respect for your private life,
