Pros

I started at TrinityBridge (then CBAM) in May 2018, and have been here 8 years this year. I worked at a company previously with a terribly toxic culture, and moved to Barclays on a 6 month FTC where I sought out something more permanent. I have worked in Operations throughout a couple of operational transformation projects and will be soon moving to a management role. I have been supported with my aspirations for progression, enrolled on an 'Evolve' course in 2019 which is internally ran annually across all TrinityBridge offices, followed by multiple management courses in preparation. Hard work and excellence is recognised through a variety of annual / quarterly awards. Although not completed myself, further education is both available and encouraged and members of my team have obtained qualificiations through their roles. Since becoming 'TrinityBridge' as a separate entity an independent Diversity & Inclusion committee has been created which I am proud to be a part of and welcomes new members. This group of people and the company in general care for the welfare of our employees and strive to promote diversity, equity & inclusion throughout. The office in Northwich is also subject to a refurb soon which is really exciting, the plans look great and have really taken colleague feedback on board. I have successfully referred two other members of Ops over the time that I have been here, both of which are also still employees.

Cons

Operations for the most part must remain rigid due to many deadlines throughout the day, this can often impact on capacity therefore constant planning for resource is a requirement to ensure there is always a certain level of team availability.

Pros

You’ll gain exposure to a variety of tasks and projects, which can help you develop a broad skill set. There are opportunities to collaborate with some truly supportive and talented colleagues. Flexible hybrid working is a benefit.

Cons

The company speaks a lot about inclusion, but the reality doesn’t reflect this. The head of the team has removed people without following any clear or fair process, leaving employees feeling vulnerable and undervalued. HR is not supportive and seems to side with senior management by default. Employees’ concerns are brushed aside, leaving no real avenue for accountability or improvement. Employees are often asked to take on responsibilities well beyond their roles without additional pay, support, or recognition. Leadership focuses more on assigning blame than solving problems, creating a stressful and demotivating work environment.

Hardwork with little reward

Pros

Some of the people and weekends

Cons

Poor work life balance with little flexibility. Head of Advice not only feels it necessary to replace good qualified staff with unqualified individuals on higher salaries with a different job title but also feels it necessary to implement massive unnecessary changes which have in turn played a dramatic drop in staffs morale and general well being. Workload is so heavy its ridiculous and often given out with tight deadlines that are unachievable. You are then made to feel like you have failed and rubbish at your job when you can't meet them. HR constantly send out emails on mental wellbeing and diversity, do not be fooled, this is a tick box exercise. If your face fits you will do all right, otherwise you are generally ignored, and if you dare speak your mind you will be next in the firing line. Higher management are so out of touch with reality and their constant expectations its unreal.
