Toxic culture! Everything is an argument, a battle or an uphill struggle. You spend your days fighting needless fires within your own departments, it's exhausting.
Politics and hidden agendas take precedence over working together.
Lots of cliques in the business and nepotism - hiring friends and relations means whole teams will 'close ranks'.
CEO is clueless to (or happy to overlook!) the volatile and aggressive behaviour of his senior leaders.
Teams work in silos not as a proper unit.
Senior management often don't have the right experience to manage their team effectively.
Everyone is far too overworked and as the teams work so inefficiently, the work doesn't get done properly (if at all), everyone is very tired all the time.
Public bickering/arguments between senior leaders.
Huge (and intentional) divide between teams means that no one is working together effectively or as a proper team.
Very awkward bonus scheme which is set up so that it's really hard to get a bonus.
Generally an embarrassment and an incredibly stressful environment to be in, but at least we're not in the office at the moment, which helps. I'll be very glad to leave.
