Pros

Working with some very nice people. Good working from home assistance.

Cons

Working for a client in the agricultural sector. It is concerning that they have handed over the keys to the technical decisions to the client who are not software engineers. A recently employed manager is in charge who is much less of a people person and reasonable than the previous manager which is causing some fantastic people to exit the company in a steady flow. They have no idea how to manage this situation but are treading water. The sick leave policy is now attached to disciplinary action whereby if you have too many occurrences then it can affect bonus or job security. Salary is lower than market which has been openly discussed on calls with the wider team with management promising reform for past few years. Other than these honest insights this company is a great place to work.

Pros

Market rate salary for mediocre devs. Good if you want to coast along by doing the bare minimum.

Cons

If you are one of those devs that goes the extra mile and are head and shoulders above the rest, don't expect more compensation. The people who make the decisions on salary increases will never have even met you, or know the first thing about you, so your extra effort is a complete waste of time. This is a company that pretends to care about its employees but the truth comes out when you ask for something as trivial as a cost of living increase.
