      Fantastic company, but senior management useless and pay gap is huge

      Pros

      Turning up to work everyday for Vodafone is a great feeling You feel you can do almost anything People friendly and helpful

      Cons

      Political nightmare between Networks & IT departments Senior Management unbelievably useless, and bullyish Pay and bonus is a joke if you are under senior management, (Snr mgmt, get 20% bonus vs 5% for standard mgmt, and also get car allowance + large pay gap)

      This company should carry a health warning - for your own health I would seriously advise not to go near Vodafone!

      Pros

      Not many that I can think of. Probably the most political organisation I have ever worked for. Pays well I guess.

      Cons

      Unfortunately there are many of these! Don't believe the hype - let me put you straight on a few thing: 1- This is not a flexible company to work for - you have to apply each week to work from home 2- Forget any management support - it's every man for himself- watch your back! 3- The annual performance appraisal system is toxic! It is based on a 'bell curve' and basically someone has to 'take one' for the team- i.e. - get a bad performance rating 4- Management is shockingly bad. Narcissistic, Bullying, 5- Escalations are commonplace and used as the general vehicle to get things done 6- Complete lack of automation in internal processes - CustomerService lead time is shockingly long 7- Vodafone trailing the market in their Product offering- only now launching SDN - 18 months after their competition!

      Autocratic CEO (Nick Jeffrey) Flexible working/work from home significantly reduced recently Poor salary Very political organisation Company has lost sight of the bigger picture - escalations are the way of getting things done at Vodafone UK. Losing good employees to competition left, right and centre. Insignificant bonuses for the last 3 financial years.
