Pros
Strong, dedicated development teams, good spirit despite regular rounds of redundancies over the years. Nice office building, good transport links. Decent perks. Strong focus on training and skill-building.
Cons
Short-sighted penny-pinching in IT, run by accountants who know the cost of everything and the value of nothing. Constant squabbles between dev and infra/cloud teams. IT middle-management ('heads of') generally poor - a nest of snakes. Unpaid on-call. Avoid IT Support / helpdesk - seriously understaffed with constant burnout and illness. Avoid the Commercial vehicles division - tech stuck in the '90s and seriously lacking investment. Bonuses not paid out. Can be a volatile industry to work in.
