Walking for The Connection at St Martins-in-the-field Our charity partner for 2024 is The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields. To kick off our activities and fundraising several colleagues recently took part in the London Night Walk. Starting and ending at The Connection, the team walked the streets of central London at night to understand the circumstances and challenges facing those sleeping rough and to raise money. They began with walking through Covent Garden before taking a turn onto a familiar street and realising they were walking straight past our office, stopping briefly for a cheeky selfie. One of our walkers Anna Smith said: “We walked past plenty of people bundled up in sleeping bags, trying to keep warm and get some decent rest as the hustle and bustle of London noisily passes them. It really brought home to all of us the challenges that people living on the streets face. Something as simple as a safe place to sleep just isn’t attainable.” Find out more about our partnership with The Connection as Lisa Gilmour talks to Olivia Wasson, Partnerships Officer at The Connection.

It’ll be all right on the night… We are immensely proud of the Blick Rothenberg team, not only for what we have achieved in 2023, but how we did it and who we are. Sometimes that even means being in front of a camera or microphone with our Marketing team looking for the perfect piece-to-camera or soundbite while a crew clamber round in the background fixing backdrops, adjusts the lighting (to be complimentary), or waits for the drilling elsewhere in the building to allow a break for filming! This year we’ve had more colleagues than ever behind a microphone and in front of a camera. We’d like to thank everyone at #BlickRothenberg for their contribution to our Insight pieces, data analysis, budget predictions, budget reviews, commentaries, interviews, newsletters, webinars, podcasts, and videos (and Jeff and his technical team who make everyone look so good on camera!). Thank you for all your support; it has been a pleasure working with each and every one of you. This week, as has become a tradition, we’ll be sharing some videos giving you a peek “behind the scenes". Here’s how we do it...
