We're excited to share that EF Hello was named a finalist in the App Store Awards 2024 in the Cultural Impact category! Out of over 1.8 million apps and games, Apple has selected 45 finalists. The Cultural Impact category recognizes apps and their development teams who help users bring out their best selves and tell challenging stories with courage and care. EF Hello's team of 10 is small but mighty, and the mission they work toward is clear: opening the world through education by making one-on-one language learning accessible anywhere, anytime. The app centers around AI tutor Addi (an acronym for AI-Driven Digital Instruction), who designs personalized learning plans, interacts with learners, and encourages them to practice speaking in real conversations. EF Hello executive Charles Li says: "Being named a finalist and part of this category has been motivating and humbling for us at EF Hello. Our team of 10 is uniquely EF because we have the flexibility to experiment, innovate, and try different things freely. It's special to have the ability to be more independent while developing this product and working towards our mission. I'm grateful to our users for trusting us and Addi on their language-learning journeys, and to our team for their dedication to making language learning fun and meaningful."
