#InfosysFoundation partnered with the Society for Advancement of Human Endeavor (SAHE) to #restore a 300-year-old stepwell in Telangana's Lingampet village. The stepwell, called Naganna Baavi, is a unique #architecturalmarvel that was once a flourishing tourist sight. However, it has fallen into disrepair in recent years and is now home to cobwebs, dry leaves, and overgrown trees. The Foundation and SAHE is working to restore the stepwell to its former glory. The vegetation and trees that have weakened the structure will be removed, the silt and waste that have blocked the aquifers will be cleaned, and the masonry repaired. We have always believed in bringing about #sustainable changes in society to ensure the impact lasts for posterity, while also preserving the natural gifts of our rich environment. With SAHE as partners, we are confident that we can restore Naganna Baavi to its former beauty.
