Last night we were delighted to host the Link: LGBTQ+ Insurance Network summer party at our London office for the 10th year! An amazing amount of money was raised for Diversity Role Models to support the important work they do to try and create inclusive learning environments for young people, where they are valued and supported regardless of their differences. We are pleased to announce further senior appointments across the firm, with 97 colleagues taking on new roles. 46 senior associates have progressed to legal director – known as ‘of counsel’ or ‘special counsel’ in some countries - with another 51 lawyers promoted to senior associate. This marks a rise from 80 senior promotions in 2023, highlighting our commitment to developing our people and rewarding their contribution to our success. This week we hosted our final mock mediation of the Evolve with Kennedys programme in London. Swapping desks for gardening gear! Over 100 colleagues from our UK healthcare team recently enjoyed a day of volunteering and team building at two Groundwork Northants projects. As part of their annual community day, the team got stuck in on tasks that included rejuvenating the bee garden, rebuilding the duck pond, and clearing scrub. We are proud as a firm to support iCAN: The Insurance Cultural Awareness Network, at gold sponsor level, and as part of that we’ve recently hosted two fantastic summer events with iCAN in our London and Birmingham offices: 🌍 World Culture Quiz Night 9 July hosted in our London office saw attendees come together for some friendly competition whilst enjoying cultural foods and music from around the world. It was an unforgettable evening of fun, laughter, dancing and networking, with one attendee saying “hands down the best networking event I have been to”. 🥂 Summer drinks Beazley x Kennedys 17 July hosted in our Birmingham office provided attendees with an opportunity to network with diverse talent in the insurance industry.
