🌊⚠️ The risk of structural collapse of offshore jacket structures due to severe weather events is a critical and often costly issue. Severe Weather Action Plans (SWAP) involve accurately establishing de-staffing thresholds based on forecast wave heights, enabling the safe evacuation of personnel from offshore structures prior to extreme weather events. However, defining these thresholds and translating analysis results into actionable procedures is complex. At Kent, we assist decision-makers with interpreting the analysis results that inform the SWAP. Read and learn from Bryan Horton, PhD's article, where he discusses the importance of Severe Weather Action Plans (SWAP) to protect people and the environment.

We've been awarded a FEED contract for bp and EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG's Morgan and Mona wind farms in the Irish Sea. Followed by our recent contract to provide a pre-FEED study for the Morven OSW project, we're thrilled to support the development of Morgan and Mona offshore wind farms. Our scope of work includes the engineering design work that informs foundation selection, demonstrates the feasibility, and provides a robust design to manage project risk and engagement with fabrication and T&I contractors. The Morgan and Mona offshore wind farms could play a significant role in contributing to the UK’s 50GW offshore wind target by 2030, adding to the 7GW in new UK projects that we are currently working on.
We've been appointed as the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contractor for six groundbreaking electrolytic hydrogen projects by Grenian Hydrogen, a joint venture between Progressive Energy, Statkraft, and Foresight Group. Supported by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), Net Zero Hydrogen Fund and Hydrogen business model, these projects span from 10MW to 30MW green hydrogen production capacities for 100% fuel switching or blending.
We've been awarded the Clear Assured Bronze Standard in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the UK.
