Armed Forces Week at M Group: Strength, Resilience and Community in Action At M Group, supporting the Armed Forces community is more than a commitment; it's an important part of who we are. To mark Armed Forces Week, more than 30 colleagues from across our Armed Forces Community came together on Monday to take on an incredible challenge: a 50km sponsored trek featuring multiple ascents of Snowdon and more than 3,400 metres of climbing. Battling steep inclines and soaring temperatures, the team demonstrated exceptional resilience, teamwork and determination throughout the day. While the challenge tested everyone physically, it also reflected the camaraderie and sense of purpose that veterans, reservists, military families and supporters bring to our business every day. The trek was completed in support of Combat Stress and SSAFA, raising funds for organisations that provide vital support to serving personnel, veterans and their families. Our Armed Forces Community is a thriving network that champions connection, wellbeing and opportunities for current and former service personnel. Whether you're transitioning from the military, a reservist, a veteran, or simply passionate about supporting the Armed Forces community, you'll find a workplace where your experience is valued and where you can continue to make a meaningful impact. Because at M Group, we're proud to recognise the contribution of those who serve, not just during Armed Forces Week, but throughout the year.

We’re also pleased to see recognition of efforts to build a culture of allyship, alongside acknowledgement of excellence in frontline delivery and leadership. These nominations highlight the importance of collaboration, strong leadership, and creating an environment where people can thrive. In addition, our work in community engagement has been recognised, demonstrating how our teams continue to make a meaningful difference beyond our core operations. A great start to the year supporting the Armed Forces community Our team has had a fantastic start to the year attending the Newcastle and Lincoln CTP events, where we promoted M Group’s career opportunities for Armed Forces veterans transitioning into civilian life. The Career Transition Partnership (CTP) is the Ministry of Defence’s official resettlement service, designed to support Service leavers as they prepare for life after the Armed Forces. It brings together employers, training providers and expert guidance to help individuals move confidently into civilian careers, making it a great opportunity for us to connect with talented people and share what M Group has to offer. We were also pleased to showcase our new merchandise, which helped spark great conversations and raise awareness of our offering. At M Group, we recognise the invaluable skills, experience and values that Armed Forces personnel bring. As a proud Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award holder, we’re committed to engaging with the Armed Forces community and promoting meaningful career opportunities across our organisation. We’re in Maidstone today, and heading to Edinburgh next week, and can't wait to meeting more people, have great conversations and continue to share our amazing opportunities.
Our People teams across the country have been coming together for a series of People Strategy Days designed to align, inspire, and energise us for the future. Each session focuses on bringing our strategy to life, where it originated, what’s in the plan, and the ambitious direction we’re heading toward as we look to 2030 and beyond. Colleagues also take part in bite‑size storytelling activities, giving them practical tools to confidently cascade the strategy across their regions. The energy has been consistently high, with creativity and collaboration shining through in every room. The stories shared have been innovative, insightful, and often wonderfully amusing. These events are a powerful reminder of the passion and purpose within our People community. Together, we’re building momentum behind a strategy designed to strengthen our culture, elevate our people experience, and shape the future of our organisation. Exciting progress, with more inspiring sessions still to come.
