"Every day I’m learning and improving my skills as a developer, which is really exciting. I love problem solving and either creating something from new, or fixing something that was broken. "This combined with the fact that MSMG is really making a difference to peoples’ lives by helping them to save money, was an integral part of why I wanted to come to work here." We may not have a crystal ball, but what our new Household Money Index (HMI) does have is insights from experts within the business into what the future could look like. Our findings confirm that the average UK household spends an average of £48.47 per day on daily living costs. That’s 70% of the average UK income each month – and it increases to 77% for those aged 18-34. Thankfully, when it comes to talking about money, the data suggests that, while it’s still a taboo for a lot of us, younger people in particular are starting to come together to talk about money, and to share tips and ideas on how to save. Take this quote from Chief Customer Officer, Lis Blair, for example and find the full index here https://www.moneysupermarket.com/household-money-index/

“My job is like a detective, I investigate when something is not looking right, tracking it down to the root of the problem and coming up with a solution. “I love the variance of data projects I can get my hands on here! It can be as small as improving dashboard user experience, to tackling business problems.” Say hello to Marketing Data Analyst Minnie Wu, in our latest people insight story! https://www.jobs.moneysupermarketgroup.com/blogarticle/people-insight-stories-minnie-wu
Over the weekend we proudly joined forces with Campaign Against Living Miserably to celebrate love, unity, and diversity in the Manchester Pride Parade 2023 🌈
Ahead of joining Campaign Against Living Miserably this Saturday in the Manchester Pride March, this week we invited colleagues to take part in a themed quiz to expand our knowledge of LGBTQI+ history. And what better way to get our brains working than with pride-themed cupcakes, as well as cookies from CakeDropwho pledged to donate to UK Black Pride, an organisation that advocates for the Black LGBTQI+ and QTIPOC community, with every sale. We'll see you there this weekend!
As part of our Summer Party celebrations earlier this month, we ran a London Eye fundraiser for Campaign Against Living Miserably. These are just some of the colleagues who kindly donated and secured a spot to get arguably the best views over London, and even into the venue below where our party was still going strong!
