Breast Cancer UK is one of the chosen charities for the Women’s Network for 2024. While breast cancer in men is much rarer than in women, around 400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK each year. For women, there are around 56,000 new cases annually, which is over 150 cases every day. 1 in 7 women will eventually receive a breast cancer diagnosis. Thanks to generous support from events like ours, Breast Cancer UK can continue its vital work to help people reduce their risk, ensuring fewer lives are impacted by this devastating disease in the future. After the success of our 2023 awareness events, we ran them again this October! To raise awareness within Micronclean, the network organised a Breast Cancer Awareness Day at each site which included: • Wearing pink for a £1 donation • Baking and selling cakes for £1 • Wearing pink mob caps • Selling ribbon pin badges for £1 This year, we raised a total of £305.95! Thank you to everyone who participated and donated to support this important cause.
