In celebration of World Health Day, we're spotlighting a project that's genuinely changed the lives of many in the UK. High blood pressure is a silent issue, hitting hardest in the most deprived communities. 🩸 That’s why we partnered with Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and Manchester Local Care Organisation to pilot the Community-led Blood Pressure Programme. This wasn’t a typical intervention. It was about listening to the community, co-creating solutions, and putting people in control of their health. The result? A model that works, and one we believe can be scaled and replicated to support the NHS and help tackle health inequalities. We’ve captured the story, impact and lessons learned in our new report, Take Heart, which you can read here: https://lnkd.in/ewJsADu #WorldHealthDay #itstartswithyou

World Allied Health Professionals (AHP) Day is an opportunity for us to reflect on the vital role AHPs play in delivering safe, high-quality care across Nuffield Health. This year’s theme, Quality and Safety, highlights the ongoing effort our AHPs make to driving excellence in healthcare; whether through the work of physiotherapists, radiographers, operating department practitioners and biomedical scientists; our AHPs are key to improving patient outcomes across all our clinical setting. While we're celebrating our AHPs today, we are thrilled to recognise the achievement of Stephen Walton from Newcastle Hospital, who recently became our first-ever homegrown Registered Operating Department Practitioner. His journey demonstrates the value of education and level of support within our AHP community! Ste has been on an amazing journey and is thrilled (as are we!) to gain his ODP Degree along with his HCPC registration. Well done and congratulations! Interested in following in Steven's footsteps?
